Luthier, Repair Manager
Richard Chodak has been building and repairing stringed instruments for 31 years. He began his journey apprenticing with Dale Bluebond. Back in the early 90's Bluebond Guitars was a custom guitar and bass building business. After Richard joined the team in 1992, the repair business became a larger part of the business model. Since Richard took over the shop in 1994 Bluebond Guitars has grown into not just a repair shop, but also a retail store and a music school. Building a strong music community is a one of our main goals. Repairing instruments for working musicians, teaching beginning students and helping people find the right gear is all part of what Bluebond has become.
